Progeny and Prashna Shashtra
In our
culture marriage is a sacrament and one of the aims of marriage is giving birth
to children and bringing them up. This is the divine way of continuity of the
mankind and hence is considered a way of repayment of debts of our forefathers
of fulfilling pita rina. Thus
children form the very basic fabric of human existence and around which our
efforts, dreams and aspirations revolve.
Due to
various reasons some couples are deprived of the blessing of being parents.
There are numerous cases of delay or denial in getting children, problems
relating to pregnancy, miscarriages and still births which are nothing but
ramification of our past karmas, good
or bad, which we must undergo to fulfill them. In spite of these, every human
being wishes to get the very best for himself in life and hence wants to know
the remedies for thwarting these evils.
